2025 TALENT ID CAMP | NC

The chase for LA2028 is officially on, and the National Talent ID Camp is your opportunity to show your best skills directly to the USA Taekwondo National High Performance staff and coaches. You'll be training alongside and learning from the 2024 US Olympic team! Do you have what it takes to join the Academy? Come prove it in Charlotte, NC.

• Dates: August 2nd - 3rd, 2025
• Location: The USATKD National Training Academy - Belk Gymnasium, 8911 University Rd, Charlotte, NC 28223
• Nearest Airport: Charlotte International Airport (CLT) - Approximately 30-minute drive
• Lead Coaches: Paul Green, Gareth Brown, & Stephen Lambdin
• Pricing:
  • Early Bird: $225 until 12 AM EST on July 19th, 2025
  • Late Registration: $300
• Free Admission: Coaches and spectators are welcome to attend at no charge.

The camp is divided into two distinct groups to maximize athlete development and identification:

• The 2028 Group (Ages 16+): This group is focused on identifying athletes who will potentially be invited to join the National Training Academy, with an eye on the LA2028 Olympic Games.
• The 2032 Group (Ages 14 & 15): Designed to begin developing the next generation of elite athletes, this group will jumpstart the chase for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games for those who stand out.

This will be a 2 day training camp.

Saturday, August 2nd

• 8 AM - 9 AM: Strength & Conditioning with USPC
• 9 AM - 11 AM: TKD Technical Training with National Academy Athletes
• 11 AM - 12 PM: Sports Psychology with Dr. John Brunelle
• 12 PM - 1 PM: World Championship Nutrition with Rachel Burr
• 1 PM - 2 PM: LUNCH BREAK
• 2 PM - 4 PM: TKD Tactics Training with Paul Green

Sunday, August 3rd

• 9 AM - 10:30 AM: Mobility with Coach Stephen Lambdin
• 11 AM - 12 PM: Medical with USPC
• 12 PM - 2 PM: TKD Sparring & Evaluation
• 2 PM: Debriefing with National Coaching Staff

This two-day National Talent ID Camp in Charlotte, NC, on August 2nd-3rd, is a prime opportunity for aspiring Taekwondo athletes (ages 14+) to showcase their skills for LA2028 and Brisbane 2032.
