RISE
RISE is a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations. RISE encourages and engages sport communities including the taekwondo community to encourage values of respect, understanding, tolerance and equality.
EQUALITY VS. EQUITY
ENROLL FOR FREE, opens in a new tabCourse 1 explores equality and equity as two approaches to achieving fairness. Equality gives everyone the same opportunities, while equity recognizes that some people face barriers and need additional support to succeed. In Course 2, all parts of our Digital Learning Series are connected through an equity lens, emphasizing that acknowledging our differences is essential to creating true fairness for everyone.
SPORTS AS A VEHICLE FOR CHANGE

Course 1 explores how their influence can address inequity at every level. Course 2 focuses specifically on those advancing racial equity and civic engagement, building on the legacy of figures prominent athletes. Today’s athletes increasingly embrace their roles not just as representatives of their sport, but as ambassadors for society as a whole.
