ATHLETE REGISTRATION
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS & HOW TO REGISTER FOR AN EVENT/CAMP#
STEP 1: BECOME A USA TAEKWONDO ATHLETE
Please review the following requirements to become a USA Taekwondo Athlete.
USATKD STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS & NON-NATIONAL EVENT REQUIREMENTS
- ATHLETE BELT COLOR
- Athlete belt color must be loaded into the athlete's membership profile.
- Athlete belt color must be a yellow belt or higher to participate
- Important Note: Once a belt is added to the athlete's profile, it may not be downgraded. SAFESPORT (For athletes 18 years old & older)
- The Center for SafeSport Training must be completed.
- The Center for SafeSport Training must be valid through the end of the event the athlete is registering for and participating in.

USATKD NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP REQUIREMENTS
ATHLETE BELT COLOR

SAFESPORT (For athletes 18 years old & older)
- The Center for SafeSport Training must be completed.
- The Center for SafeSport Training must be valid through the end of the event the athlete is registering for and participating in.
WORLD CLASS DIVISIONS
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship must be loaded into the USATKD membership profile (Birth Certificate/Passport)
- Must have a black belt loaded into the USATKD athlete membership profile (World Class Division)
- Must have black belt certification loaded into the USAKD athlete membership profile (Kukkiwon Certificate)
- Must have an athlete photo loaded into the USATKD athlete membership profile
STEP 2: COMPLETE THE CENTER FOR SAFESPORT TRAINING COURSE
The safety of ALL amateur athletes is a primary goal of the USA Taekwondo organization. The U.S. Center for SafeSport, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USPOC) and National Governing Body USA Taekwondo are leading in the movement to put an end to emotional, physical, and sexual abuse of ALL amateur athletes. Choosing where to train and compete is an important decision for athletes. USA Taekwondo provides a safe environment for ALL athletes free of abuse. A ZERO tolerance policy for misconduct and abuse is enforced. There is no safer place to train and compete - USA Taekwondo is the Safest Place to Play.
WHO IS REQUIRED TO TAKE THE CENTER FOR SAFESPORT TRAINING?
- All new members AND renewing members must under complete the Center for SafeSport Training - Core Training Course.
- This course completion is required for all members 18 years of age or older. USATKD Members include athletes, coaches, referees, instructors, club owners and staff.
To REGISTER AND COMPLETE THE CENTER FOR SAFESPORT TRAINING - CORE TRAINING COURSE:
1. Log into your USA Taekwondo Athlete profile via Sport:80.
2. When looking at your USATKD Athlete profile HOME Page, Click VIEW PROFILE.
3. In the LEFT navigation, click on the Center for SafeSport Training link.
4. In the top RIGHT, Click the +Access Training and follow the prompts select and complete the SafeSport - Core Training Course.
STEP 3: HOW TO REGISTER FOR AN EVENT OR CAMP
TO REGISTER FOR AN EVENT OR CAMP
1. Log into your USATKD Membership profile.
2. Once you are logged into your USATKD profile, use the left navigation to select the EVENT link (to register for events) or the DEVELOPMENT link (to register for camps).
3. After clicking the EVENTS OR DEVELOPMENT link, the center of the page will populate with events and/or camps that you are eligible to register for.
3. Follow the balance of the on-screen prompts to continue with registration for an event or camp.
NOTE: If you do not see an event or camp listed and you believe you have qualified to attend the event or camp, please contact the Events Teams for further assistance.

LOGIN TO THE USATKD MEMBERSHIP SYSTEM (SPORT:80)
