2025 PARA POOMSAE CAMP - 01/24-25

USATKD is thrilled to host the this Para-Poomsae Camp for para-poomsae athletes of all belt levels. Come train with National Team Coaches Cherith Shiba and Amanda Miller and be a part of USATKD's growing Paralympic movement.

📅 Camp Dates & Format

Preceding Tuesday Camp Zoom ( 5–6 p.m. MST):

Pre-Camp Zoom Meeting for coaches and home gym support people.

Home coaches and support persons will share their knowledge of their athletes’ strengths and weaknesses, as well as the forms they are familiar with.

Coaches Miller and Shiba will provide information and guidance to home coaches and support persons in overcoming hurdles to getting their athletes classified. 

Saturday (12 p.m.–5 p.m.):

With a focus on supporting an optimal experience for each athlete, we will refine foundational stances, kicks, and hand techniques throughout the Poomsae to accommodate each athlete’s unique form.  Both days will feature a balance of group instruction and semi-private sessions, tailored to the individual needs of the athletes and the group as a whole.

Sunday (10 a.m.–3 p.m.):

Depending on the identified needs from Day 1, the camp will progress in a tailored manner to maximize positive takeaways for individuals and the group.
