Team USA’s Jonathan Healy Clinches Bronze at 2025 World Taekwondo Championships


Team USA’s heavyweight standout Jonathan Healy delivered a commanding performance at the 2025 World Taekwondo Championships in Wuxi, China, earning a bronze medal in the Men’s +87kg division and reaffirming his status as one of taekwondo's elite competitors.


Healy started the day with a decisive RSC victory over Venezuela in the Round of 32, followed by back-to-back 2-0 wins against Taipei and Kazakhstan in the Round of 16 and Quarterfinals, respectively. In the Semifinals, Healy faced a formidable South Korean opponent in a hard-fought match that showcased his grit and determination. Though the bout ended 0-2, Healy’s performance secured him a place on the podium and a coveted bronze medal.

This marks a significant achievement for Healy and Team USA, showcasing the talent of American taekwondo on the world stage.
