Rodriguez advanced to the semifinals in a fiercely competitive bracket, showcasing exceptional skill, resilience, and tactical brilliance. His journey to the final four included victories over top international opponents:

• Round of 64: Defeated KSA (2-0)
• Round of 32: Defeated DEN (2-0)
• Round of 16: Defeated BUR (2-1)
• Quarterfinals: Defeated UZB (2-1)
• Semifinals: Narrowly fell to KOR (1-2)
