The First Central Sparring and Poomsae Regional Camp

(October 29, 2021) -  Earlier this year USA Taekwondo announced the Regional Athlete Academies and the Central Region is ready to host its first event in December. The Central Center of Excellence will be hosting the first Sparring and Poomsae Regional Camp ran by the Central Region Coaches. The camp will take place in Houston, Texas December 17th - 19th. The sparring camp will be open to red and black belt athletes ages 10 and up and the poomsae camp will be open to black belt athletes ages 10 and up. Athletes from across the country are eligible to sign up for the regional camp.

Athletes will get to work closely with the Regional Coaches and can expect an exciting weekend of training. 

Sparring Camp:

• Sport Specific conditioning with Stephen Lambdin
• Situational and technical training
• Talent identification
• Regional Team selection

Poomsae Camp:

• Talent identification
• Regional Team selection
