U.S. Tigers Taekwondo is an organization that offers various programs and a supportative environment designed to help young atheltes between 6 and 11 excel and grow in their Taekwondo journey.

At U.S. Tigers Taekwondo, we offer:

Congratulations to Resilient Martial Arts on earning the Club of Excellence Award (Diversity & Inclusion)

Resilient Martial Arts works with the neuro-diverse community and has established powerful partnerships. We joined hands with the Autism Society of Central Virginia, providing them with spring break and summer camp sessions for their members. They collaborated with soar365, a non-profit that provides opportunities for people with disabilities, and The Faison School, a private school for Autistic Students. During the pandemic, they provided virtual sessions to the public schools and Autism Society members. In 2021, Resilient Martial Arts became a Brand Ambassador for SKILLZ Worldwide and incorporates components of Spectrum SKILLZ program with martial arts activities to help neuro-diverse students develop their Awareness, Communication, Determination, Listening, Detailing, Durability, Observing, and Retention skills in classes in our academy and external programs. As a result, schools in New Jersey, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Kentucky now provide programs to neuro-diverse students.

In 2021, they rebranded their business from Gentle East Martial Arts to Resilient Martial Arts, as it more clearly reflected their mission to create opportunities for students to overcome challenges and thrive. In 2022 and 2023, they increased their neuro-diverse class offerings to include private lessons for low-functioning students and a unique family Spectrum class where parents and children work together and earn their black belts.

Congratulations to Washington United Taekwondo on earning the Club of Excellence Award (Para-Athlete)

Washington United believes and strives for a one team one state mentality. Athletes who join Washington United do so because they have a desire, dedication and drive to be competitive. They want to be included and not excluded for their disabilities. They have a pursuit for a long term goal. We are one, one team, one state, we are Washington.

Washington United Taekwondo's mission is to be a cooperative team of multiple taekwondo schools throughout the Puget Sound area that collaborate in order to elevate the level of athletes and the sport of taekwondo in Washington State.

Washington United currently has 2 para-athletes as part of the team. They train, compete, travel and are included within all practices. They are supported with the same atmosphere that supports teamwork, individual skill development and winning in a structured environment.

Coaches guide all athletes in their personal development, learning through sports, lessons in goals setting, planning and perseverance, as well as how to deal with success and shortfalls with class and dignity. 

The Club of Excellence Award | ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT is earned by the USATKD Club that excels in the recruitment and retention of athletes between the ages of 6 years - 11 years.

The awarded club recipient creates a positive learning environment for all athletes, utilizes a development program which enables personalized athlete growth and promotes athletes' commitment to their goals and the taekwondo journey.

The Club of Excellence Award | DIVERSITY & INCLUSION is earned by the USATKD Club that is devoted to developing and celebrating diversity. This award club recipient promotes equality throughout their member community, creates an atmosphere that is empathetic to membership regardless of their differences, creates a sense of belonging, ensures all club athletes & families feel welcome, and provides everyone with the necessary tools to succeed.

The Club of Excellence Award | PARA-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT is earned by the USATKD Club that is actively recruiting para-athletes. This category recognizes clubs who create a positive environment that para-athletes would enjoy, participate in and excel within the sport of taekwondo.
