Hangastar will not allow me to register for the quiz. Why?
There are a few reasons why this may be the case. The most common are:
- You have a current Associate Coach status. (Current Associate Coach and higher level coaches do not need to take the quiz).
- You have not passed the required background check.
- You have not completed the SafeSport Training Course.
- You do not meet the minimum age requirement.
- You do not have a current membership with USA Taekwondo.
How long does it take to grade the quiz?
Survey Gizmo automatically grades your quiz and you will know your score as soon as you have finished. Your coaching status will be updated in Hangastar within a week.
If you are taking the quiz to be eligible to coach at a specific event, we ask that you allow at least two weeks to process the background check and the Associate Coach Quiz. The background check cannot be rush ordered. If the background check takes longer than expected, please contact dani.sweigard@usa-taekwondo.us to expedite the processing of your Associate Coach Quiz.
I took and passed the quiz, but I still cannot register to coach at an event. Why not?
There are a few reasons why this may be the case. They are:
- You do not meet the minimum age requirement for the event. (To coach at a USAT event, a coach must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the event).
- You have not renewed your background check or your background check has expired.
- You have not completed the Safe Sport Course requirement.
- The registration deadline for the event has passed.
