KUKKIWON WORLD TAEKWONDO ACADEMY HOLDS APPOINTMENT CEREMONY FOR 2026 WTA INSTRUCTORS AND EVALUATION COMMITTEE MEMBERS
Kukkiwon’s World Taekwondo Academy (WTA) held the 2026 WTA Instructor and Evaluation Committee Appointment Ceremonyon February 27 at 11:00 a.m. at the Central Training Hall of Kukkiwon.
The ceremony was attended by Kukkiwon President Yoon Woong-seok, WTA Vice Director Ahn Jae-yoon, and other Kukkiwon officials. During the event, a total of 116 individuals were appointed, including 89 instructors in the areas of Poomsae, Kyorugi, Breaking, Demonstration, Self-Defense, and Taekwondo Theory, as well as 27 evaluation committee members.
The WTA conducted an open recruitment process beginning on January 26. Candidates were selected through a rigorous evaluation procedure, including document screening and assessments of professional competencies.
In his remarks at the ceremony, President Yoon emphasized the significance of Taekwondo instructors in shaping the future of the martial art. He stated, “Among the many factors that determine the future of Taekwondo, the role of Taekwondo instructors is of paramount importance. I hope all of you will carry out your responsibilities with pride and a strong sense of mission as representatives of Kukkiwon, and do your utmost to cultivate and educate proper Taekwondo leaders.
